ARTICLE: 5 Minute Affiliate Marketing Advice

I've pulled off many high profile product launches and I've also promoted products for many of my Joint Venture Partners in return (and topped their leaderboard chart many a times). Speaking from experience, this is the result of collective effort from doing more than one affiliate marketing methods. (keyword: "more than one")

I had been asked many times for advice from Internet Marketing beginners and people who are new to selling other people's products as an affiliate. The answer to this supposingly million-dollar question is truly worthy of a price tag. And a hefty one at that.

However in the interest of helping my fellow AMLOH affiliates to earn their own generous cut from sales of my products, here's a word of advice: start building your own opt-in list now.

Yes, there are many methods to making money from promoting affiliate programs (such as the one you're looking at now) - Pay-per-click, blogging, Twitter, social media, BUM marketing, article marketing, buying up e-zine ad space... you name it.

But it's been proven time and again that many of the biggest money makers in any online industry - not just Internet Marketing - often have a few things in common. One of them is, with a guarantee, a mailing list.

Don't just chase the numbers though. Having a 10,000 subscriber opt-in list that are cold is just as good as having none at all. On the other hand, if you have built a small but highly responsive list of buyers (and that's another keyword) money will be lining up into your pockets.

The money isn't in the mailing list; it's in the relationship you build with your own opt-in subscribers. And when you have a list, you can do more than just sell other people's products. You can very well sell your own too, rent out ad space, and monetize from various other ways. This is a leverage you cannot find in other affiliate marketing methods.

And if you want more proof, check out and study the top JV Partners in my Hall of Fames. They usually have their own mailing list with a strong following of loyal subscribers. Not to mention that since many of them are product creators, their offering of bonus incentives for anyone who buys through their affiliate link explodes their affiliate commissions.
